Seasons Calling

6 piece hardcore/metal band from Bedfordshire, est 2012.

We play Hardcore/Metal with piano, to create a blend of heavy, balls-out craziness and melodic, gentle middle-eights. Patrick's vocals are angry and passionate, yet controlled. Arron and Coby's guitars are often playing very dissonant sounding chords along with very low end breakdowns. Alex's piano twists beautifully in and out of the heavy parts, adding a calming and original sound to the mix. Jack's bass adds layers and depth to the mix. Dom is an experienced drummer, offering a controlled yet complex addition to the music. The band originally formed in January 2012 with Patrick Cook on vocals, Arron Shah and Dom Wallace on guitars, Lou Field on bass, Alex Shave on piano and Mitch Field on drums, but this lineup was quick to change due to Mitch and Lou deciding to part ways with the rest of the members due to differences in musical taste after merely a month of us all creating music together. After their departure Dom decided to step in on drums whilst we searched for another drummer, and Jack Connor joined the band to play bass guitar. It was at this point that we decided to write and record an EP for people to listen to and so we spent the summer of 2012 writing 4 tracks for a record that we then recorded with Edd Durcan over the later months of the year. On the 12th of December 2012 we released our debut EP titled 'Divisions' on Soundcloud for free download. Shortly after the release of Divisions we decided that due to us having no luck finding a new drummer, Dom should stay on drums and so Coby Elkin joined the band to play guitar with Arron. As we moved into 2013 we felt like we were ready to start playing shows and from January to May we have played at venue's such as London's Nambucca, Hitchin's Club 85, and Bedford's Esquires alongside bands such as Desolated, Shields, Fall Against Fate, Ghost of Gabrielle and Inelegance. Since the begging on June 2013 we have decided to take a break from playing shows to give us time to write and record a full-length album, which we aim to release sometime in early 2014.
