Now residing near The Atomic City and The Valles Caldera in Northern New Mexico, Tiwanaku has recently finalized their line up and are currently in the studio recording their long anticipated, title to be announced, debut album. The band is also currently booking live appearances and tours for the late summer and fall of 2010. Tour dates TBA!

Vocalist/guitarist Ed Mowery(ex-Nocturnus) and guitarist Michael Estes (ex-Burning Inside) have linked up with two superb musicians to solidify a line up that will be smashing stages in the days to come. Tiwanaku was contacted by bassist extroardinare Claudia Hughes through mutual friend Alex Webster(Cannibal Corpse, Blotted Science). She immediately showed her interest in Tiwanaku by showing her professional work ethic, ability to learn the music extremely fast, and her amazing fast fingered bass playing. After learning three of the songs before coming to audition with no assistance from the band, she was offered the spot and accepted it. In January of 2010 Ed reconnected with long-time friend Scott Beguin (Demon Semen, Red White & Black), who immediately took on the challenge to play drums with the band. Scott's love for metal, professional attitude, and kick ass versatile drumming solidified his spot in the line up.

Tiwanaku's music is filled with a variety of catchy and fast guitar riffs and harmonies, shredding guitar leads, thunderous bass, extreme drumming, and powerful death metal vocals. The material that is going on the debut album is comprised of topics such as war, conspiracy theory, ancient history, science fact, and science fiction.

Be on the lookout for Tiwanaku's debut album to be released in the summer of 2010 with live appearances to follow! Get ready to walk through The Gateway to the Sun to join Tiwanaku on the other side!!
