The Evil Amidst is a melodic death metal band from Miami, Florida featuring members of legendary death metal band Malevolent Creation, black metal purists Kult ov Azazel, and grinders Hateplow. The Evil Amidst blends a unique mixture of Death, Black and Thrash metal with intense melodies and demonic passages to form intelligent conceptual epic tales of dark fantasy. The band was founded in December of 2007 by Guitarist Gio Geraca and seen its first demo release that same year entitled “I and the Flame”.
 After returning home from their first and self financed east coast tour Gio and singer Lenny Warmbrandt (Hateplow) would begin collaborating on material for their debut album “Lords of the Nine”. By early 2010 the writing for the album was complete and the band entered Mana Recording Studios (Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel) with guitarist Xaphan (Kult ov Azazel) and drummer Gus Rios (Ressurection, Malevolent Creation). The album was recorded and mixed by Brian Elliott and Eric Rutan. Lords of the Nine was released on September 29th 2010 upon the masses and has been receiving world wide praise from the Metal community.
The Evil Amidst will continue to tour in support of their new album and are currently shopping for a suitable label. In December of 2010 The Evil Amidst saw the departure of bassist Sean Young, and welcomed bassist Sean Tibbetts (Kamelot), into the fold.
