In today's digital world, there are thousands of artists uploading new original music everyday. In order to break through, it's impossible to be just "good," you've got to be incredible.

This is where our story begins. In Ocala, Florida, (population 53,000) vocalist Calder Dougherty and guitarists James Cohen and Anthony Urrutia formed The Beautiful Decay in late 2007. In the years following, they have written dozens of songs and perfected their signature sound. Combining the brutality of modern thrash/death metal influences such as At The Gates, Darkest Hour, and The Black Dahlia Murder with the virtuosity of neo-classical shredders Jason Becker and Marty Friedman, The Beautiful Decay aims to capture a sense of urgency, where the majority of today's modern bands seem to constantly repeat one another through lifeless reproductions.

In late 2009, The Beautiful Decay completed its lineup with the additions of Brett Pierce on bass and Robert Newton rounding out the band's sound with electronic elements. In March 2010, The Beautiful Decay recorded their debut EP entitled "Unmanifest Destiny" with engineer/producer Michael "Jude" Rahme at Strukture Sound Studios. With this release, they hope to attract attention from record labels and likeminded indiviuals, fulfilling their goal of making "incredible," innovative music, and connecting with people.
