Skrypt is a 5 piece Thrash metal band from Hyderabad, India. The band has a unique blend of Groovy Thrash metal mixed with Progressive patterns and melodies. The band made its debut at a pub gig on 21 July 2007 after completing its line up in the last days of June.

They are known for their intense performances and intricate yet still groovy and melodic style of composing music. In the first 6 months of forming, the band achieved various accolades such as winning the CRI (Hyderabad), IIIT Hyderabad etc. and has now played over 30 gigs. Their powerful and entertaining live performances have ensured that that they’ve left a mark on everyone that has witnessed them live.

The band has now made a name for themselves in the national circuit, having played in cities like Mumbai, Manipal, and Chennai etc. After a lot of successful shows, the band finally recorded their first album titled “Discord”. The album was launched in August 2010 and the band is in the process of touring India for the promotion this album.
