Its a long story, but Septic was the brainchild of guitarist, Niall Roberts and drummer, Ian Taylor, many moons ago. Several line-up changes and auditions later, sometime in late 2010, vocalist Phill Newton was recruited, then Neil Charlesworth on bass shortly after. Septic primarily started off as a 4-piece, but changed to a 5-piece when 2nd guitarist Mat Bentley joined. Although Mat was later replaced by original Septic Guitarist (from back int' day), Luke Rodgers, this is how the current line-up stands today. South Yorkshire thrashers, Septic have a love for old school Bay-Area thrash, and are heavily influenced by the thrash greats, such as Megadeth, Anthrax and Testament, but with a somewhat 'punky' sound, similar to that of Municipal Waste and Gama Bomb. So if you like fast chugging guitars, fast-paced solos and sick vocals, Septic might be right up your street! Septic have had several gigs at various venues across the North- Sheffield, Rotherham, Wakefield and Mansfield. Septic have recently recorded a two track demo, thanks to Rotherham-based producer Steve Ellis, the tracks will be availiable on the site, hopefully sooner than later! I'm sure you'll be in for a real treat!
