Picture the Betrayal formed in late 2008, after various line up changes they recorded their debut EP at Whiteroom Studios in Woking. After the release of this CD the band decided to take things more seriously and refine their sound by focusing on the heavier side of their music.

June 2009 saw the addition of 2 members to the band, in the form of Jason Puplett and Alex's brother, Pete. These guys had been good friends of the band for a long time so slotted in straight away. A few months passed and they realised they had finally found a solid settled line up.

In July 2010 the band recorded their new EP Titled Exordium at outhouse studios in Reading (Funeral for a Friend, Architects, Enter Shikari, The Arusha Accord) with a new heavier sound, with the completion of Exordium the band are looking to expand their fanbase by getting on the road and playing shows. The band are beginning to write and enter preproduction for their first full length album (2011).
