Formed by guitarist/vocalist Matt Jurkiewicz and drummer Alex Buckley in Stafford in 2004. Bringing guitarist/vocalist Ben Cresswell and bassist Jack Traveller into the fold, Malacite have since been cutting their teeth on the live circuit and refining their sound into a form of compositionally-complex, intricately-played sort of melodic thrash, replete with breakneck riffage, song structures that twist and turn at a moment’s notice and extended solo sections – metal done the old-fashioned way, you might say. 

Unfortunately, Jack Traveller left the band due to musical differences in July 2010. Determined not to be slowed down, they quickly snapped up replacement Chris Musgrove. Now stronger than ever, the band are preparing for live shows with the new line up, and writing new material...
