Formed in early 2001 in Pereira, Colombia, South America, HEAD CRUSHER’s blend of thrash, death metal and hardcore allowed them to climb to the top of the growing Colombian and South American metal scene.
After releasing two demos "Your Blood on my Hands" (2003) and "Re-Evolve" (2005) they hundreds of bands, such as Apocalyptica (Finland), Suicidal Tendencies (U.S.), Animal (Argentina), Confronto (Brazil), Muscaria (Ecuador), Koyi K Utho (Colombia), Souledge (Colombia) and many others.
HEAD CRUSHER self-produced their first album, “I Felt This Before” (2006) which sold out in their home country, and their videos for “Re-Evolve” and “I’ve Got Another Plan” were played on the most important Colombian television stations as well as MTV Latino.
HEAD CRUSHER played successful shows in support of their new release, taking part in several open air festivals in their home country; playing in front of over 50,000 people at Colombia’s prestigious Rock Al Parque festival and over 6,000 people at the always anticipated FFF festival in Ambato, Ecuador.
HEAD CRUSHER arrived in New York in 2007 and toured the East Coast, playing several gigs in New York City.
HEAD CRUSHER then relocated to Austin, Texas in the summer of 2008 where they worked with Scott Sargeant (Laz Rockit, Killing Culture, Skinlab, M.O.D., By Any Means Necessary), a producer and engineer, to finish recording their self titled EP. The tracks were mastered by Juan Urteaga (Exodus, Testament, Machine Head) at Trident Studios in Northern California, with the artwork designed by Alex Eckman-Lawn (Architects, Syopus, Hacride).
HEAD CRUSHER has everything that we have all missed about metal. Killer riffs, punishing drums, intense vocals and songs you can break your neck to.
