Firefly is one of the bands that actually last a bit longer than the ordinary band. At this moment Firefly has been around for about 10 years. It was as simple as a group of friends gathering together and deciding to start a band.

From then on, Firefly toured around in the Netherlands and in time even in other countries. They have played in parts of Germany and Belgium. They also did a big gig at the “Rockin Transilvania Festival” in Romania Oldstyle hardrock, a shared passion for all the bandmembers from the beginning on.

Firefly draws influence from Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Testament, Saxon, Thin Lizzy and lots of other big names.

Firefly doesn’t want to be new and original, but just wants to keep the old hardrock alive. And that seems to work out pretty well. The current formation of the band has recorded two CD’s together. One EP and one album. The last EP called ”Live By The Day” was received very well by the press, radio stations and big festivals. 

 The second CD, the album “Ruined World” isn’t even out at the moment that this biography was written. This oldstyle hardrock band from the Netherlands is a must see on stage. With their experience and loyalty to the public, you’ll get want you want!! And especially for the old hardrock fans, Firefly can play some covers too. In corporation with Jeroen Muller, the producer of both CD’s, they made it a good rock CD that jumps out of the crowd !! Just like previous albums, all the lyrics and music is written by the band members themselves!
