Enemywithin are a hard-hitting Metal hybrid from Torquay, utilising an eclectic array of influences to create a fresh approach to the genre. Combining the groove of bands like Pantera, the aggression of modern Death Metal, the melodies of Melodic Death Metal, and the catchiness of Nu-Metal with a passion for experimenting and trying new things. The foundations of Enemywithin were laid in 2003, when a group of friends decided to form a band. Many member changes and many reinventions later, Enemywithin found themselves without a vocalist, with Sam Preece, Mike Jarvis and Jon 'The Jit' Tandy at the band's heart. A long lapse in creativity was suddenly ended by the writing of a song called, "Ascend The Divine" in mid 2008. From this base, Enemywithin crafted a host of new material with the idea of bringing something new to the table. In the Summer of 2009, Enemywithin ended their long hunt for a vocalist, finding him far closer to home than expected. Russell Tandy, The Jit's older brother completes the dynamic, energetic line-up, bringing his own slant on their output and all new ideas.
