Ancient Ascendant play a new breed of death metal, combining old school sensibilities with melody and hooks which are often lacking in this brutal genre. In an attempt to fuse groove, melody and extremity, they have taken influence from bands new and old, such as Death, Opeth, Entombed and Decapitated.
Appealing to the seasoned metal fanatic looking for a new dose of raw interesting music as well as fresh ears and open minds in the metal scene, they hope to make a huge impact on a scene that is all too often filled with more style than substance.
