Abercion started making music at the beginning of 2009, genre obviously being created from metal roots. We may have taken slightly different influences on each of our tracks, as we feel that no two songs on an album should sound the same. It’s boring!

We consist of two guitarists, a bassist, drummer and of course a vocalist. We have had our fair share of bassists in the time we have been together, but everyone else in the band has been here from the start.

Unfortunately, our age goes against us in many situations as most of us are under 18, youngest being 17. This is highly annoying, as there is no age limit for creating music that people can relate to. Although we are only young, it does not mean that we are not to be taken seriously, which is the problem with the misconception that we have. Like most bands, we are extremely passionate about the music that we create. Each song means something personal to each of us, which is what makes us as a band. Passion!!

At the moment, we are trying to promote our self–funded album as much as possible and hoping to spread the word about Abercion. Every member of the band works exceptionally hard, constantly promoting and coming up with new ideas. We take every gig that we get the opportunity to play, whether it will be to play to three people at a dodgy venue somewhere on the other side of the U.K. A gig is a gig to us. Chances are there may be someone in the audience that sees what we are about, and joins the Abercion family. We have recently been endorsed by Darkside Clothing which is a big step for us and we hope for it to be the first in a list of endorsements. We all can dream. Thanks for reading our story.
