PARADISE LOST are returning to Australia after 17 years

Paradise Lost will join their label mates In Flames, Turisas, In This Moment, Heaven Shall Burn and Devin Townsend on the massive Australian Soundwave 2012 festival tour with several other bands. This is the first time Paradise Lost played in Australia since 1995 when they presented their album “Draconian Times” that has been celebrated with last year’s legacy shows and the “Draconian Times MMXI” DVD/Live album.

This time fans can be sure to be one of the first worldwide to hear some new tracks from the upcoming album “Tragic Idol” that will be released late April 2012 worldwide through Century Media Records. Jens Bogren (Opeth, Borknagar, etc.) who already mixed and mastered the last album “Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us”, just finished the “Tragic Idol” production. Gregor Mackintosh (guitar) mentioned in the new Terrorizer interview: “We’ve probably been influenced more by classic metal and classic doom metal on this record than anything else.”

Nick Holmes (vocals) adds: “I wrote a lot about truth and honesty. We’ve got a song called ‘Honesty In Death’. It’s pretty much about when people are dying, they’re nice. When they are healthy, they’re devious, but when they’re on their death bed they say nice things.”
